HRC to Host Small Business Opportunity Forum

The Dayton Human Relations Council is hosting the annual Small Business Opportunity Forum on Thursday, February 25, at 8:30 a.m., at the Dayton Convention Center, 22 E. 5th St.

The Small Business Opportunity Forum is designed to engage small business owners in projects and procurement opportunities related to all City of Dayton departments for the 2016 calendar year. Small businesses will:

* Meet the decision makers for projects and procurement;
* Network with prime contractors and vendors seeking small business subcontractors; and
* Learn about upcoming construction projects and procurement opportunities.

Established in 1962 by the Dayton City Commission, the Dayton Human Relations Council works to influence and ensure a culture of fair treatment, inclusion, and equal access to opportunities for all who live, work, play, and gather in the city of Dayton. The Council provides civil rights enforcement; builds the capacity of minority-owned, woman-owned and small disadvantaged businesses; and administers community relations initiatives.
