Erica Fields named Human Relations Council interim director

Release Date: Monday, Mar. 5, 2018. Today the Dayton City Commission named Erica Fields interim director of the Human Relations Council (HRC). Fields has served as community relations administrator for HRC since 2016, overseeing communications and community engagement in support of the agency’s core programs and new initiatives. She has also worked in program management and community outreach capacities for the Montgomery County Office of Family and Children First, the Ohio Department of Development /Governor’s Workforce Policy Advisory Board and the Office of the Lieutenant Governor (Ohio). She holds a Master of Public Administration and a B.S. in Marketing and Management, both from Wright State University.

“Erica is an incredibly talented professional who has also led an impressive career in public service,” said Dayton Mayor Nan Whaley. “She has been a strong member of the HRC team and will continue to be an asset in this new role.” Fields will provide administrative oversight for all HRC programs, which include business and technical assistance to minority-owned, woman-owned and small disadvantaged businesses, and community relations initiatives that promote and maintain peace, goodwill and harmony for Dayton’s residents.
