Ohio Developmental Services Agency Invites MBEs to Education Business Expo June 28th

The Ohio Department of Administrative Services (DAS) and the Ohio Development Services Agency invite minority-owned, women-owned, small businesses and veterans to participate in the Education Business Expo on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Columbus.

The event is sponsored by the Ohio School for the Blind, Ohio School for the Deaf, Ohio Department of Education, Tuition Trust Authority and Ohio Department of Higher Education Ohio in conjunction with Department of Administrative Services (DAS) and the Ohio Development Services Agency.

This networking opportunity will connect suppliers with purchasing representatives from the State entities mentioned above and select private companies. Buyers representing over 30 program areas will be available to discuss current and future needs, featuring over $40 million in potential business opportunities.  Additionally, attendees may participate a variety of workshops. The computer lab will be available for attendees to begin certification, re-certification or cross certification into the Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and Encouraging Diversity, Growth and Equity (EDGE) and Veteran’s Preference programs; begin registration to do business with the state and receive bid notifications; or learn how to navigate the state’s procurement website.

For your convenience, online registration is now available (click here).  Businesses are encouraged to register for the expo by June 23, 2017, but walk-ins are welcome. Admission and parking are free.  Please use the front entrance of the school; signage will be available upon arrival for parking and for Expo activities.
