Get In the Game ‑ Dayton World Soccer Returns Sept. 12

The fourth annual Dayton World Soccer Games will bring more than 20 teams to the
Action Sports Center (1103 Gateway Dr.) on Saturday, September 12, to enjoy the
planetʹs most popular sport and celebrate Daytonʹs spirit of diversity and
community.
Spectators are welcome to join in the fun, and admission and parking are free. A
parade of nations begins the day‑long tournament at 8:30 a.m.
Youth matches begin at 9:30, and the adult championship
game starts at approximately 6:00 p.m. (championship
game time subject to change).
Vendors will sell food and beverages, and there will be
balloons and face‑painting for kids. Spectators should bring
sports seating.
The tournament kicks off a series of local events in celebration of National Welcoming
Week, a nationwide event highlighting the contributions of immigrants to American
communities.
