Attract Millennials to Strengthen your Business
Speaker: Mary Miller
When you ask a manufacturer what their number one barrier to growth is, they will tell you about their struggle to attract and retain workers. But, many of these same manufacturers believe that millennials are difficult to manage and lack the skills needed in their workforce. In 2016, millennials surpassed baby boomers to become America’s largest living generation. Millennials, currently between 21 and 37 years old, make up the majority of the future (soon to be current) workforce. With over 8,000 people per day turning 65, the reality is that they will be looking to retire soon and leveraging millennials in the workforce will be the only option.
This Attract Millennials to Strengthen your Business session will provide a greater understanding of this generation and how they see the world. You will gain an advantage in attracting and retaining workers from this generation through a deeper knowledge of how their formative years have shaped them and what that means to your organization. In this session, we will watch a video to gain insight into the millennial generation and follow up with a 30 minute group discussion on the ideas covered. We will start promptly at 8:00 AM as there is a lot to cover.
