CPC Interacting with Law Enforcement: Know your Rights and Responsibilities Training

The City of Dayton Human Relations Council, the Community Police Council and Thurgood Marshal Law Society have partnered to host a series of community panels to engage the community in meaningful and constructive conversations to build understanding and trust between law enforcement and the communities they serve. “Moving from Words to Actions: Interacting with Law Enforcement & Understanding your Rights and Responsibilities” forum is designed to educate the community on police policies and procedures, citizens’ responsibility to comply and citizens’ rights when interacting with the police. The event will feature videos, interactive discussion and presentations from the Dayton Police Department and local attorneys designed to stimulate thought and dialogue and to educate the community on how to effectively interact with officers.
